In December 1895, the Kalama I.O.O.F. Lodge #101 established to this cemetery. The first addition of land was donated by the Roberts family, and through the years more additions as the only evidence of early burials. In 1964, Cowlitz County District #5 was formed and has since cared for and maintained the cemetery.
