History
According to the Wenatchee Area Genealogical Society, there is a cemetery in the yard of a Christian Church (no longer there) that is 1.75 miles north of the Levi Sutton property and one mile south of Lind. This cemetery, possibly the current Delight Cemetery, was established in 1890. The earliest birth date recorded is 1825, and the earliest death date is 1890, based on the examined headstones. The cemetery covers approximately four acres and lacks water, causing grass and weeds to grow tall by the fall. The Wenatchee Area Genealogical Society surveyed the cemetery on 7 March 2013 and made a follow-up visit in June 2014. Additionally, it is noted that Levi Sutton is buried in the Michigan Prairie Cemetery, which is located east of Hatton and near the Morgan holdings in the Sand Hills.
For the convenience of visitors, a kiosk stands proudly in the heart of Delight Cemetery, serving as a visual guide to the location of grave sites.
