History

The Boistfort Cemetery was established by Edward Harris and his wife, Mary L. Harris, on 4 October 1888 and was officially recorded by them on 17 June 1889. It is in the southeast corner of the Turner R. Roundtree Donation Claim, Section 13, Township 12 North, Range 4 West.

The cemetery, a testament to the generosity of Edward Harris and his wife, is composed of 27 blocks, each containing eight lots that measure 12 feet by 14 feet. The alleys running north and south are 4 feet wide, while those running east and west are 6 feet wide. A diagram of the grave locations is available.

Taylor, D.P. Inman, John Roundtree, Glen Roundtree, Insley Cook, James Moorcroft, Sam J. Adams, William Roundtree, Lonnie Buchanan, Henry Harris, P. Roundtree, and others.
