Civil War Veterans Buried In Washington State - Paradis Lake Cemetery

Paradis Lake Cemetery

Off Paradise Lake Road /197 Ave NE
Paradise Lake, King County, Washington

Also known as Maltby Cemetery

From Maltby head southeast on Paradise Lake Road for about 1.5 miles, turning south onto Paradise Valley Road for another mile. The cemetery will be just after you cross the county line from Snohomish County into King County.

This old cemetery is often called the Paradise Valley Cemetery. It apparently was the cemetery for the town of Maltby. The first burial seems to be in 1908, the last burial was about 1985, according to the stones.

The cemetery is now on private property, not open to the public, situated on a three terraced hillside which is very difficult to get to. One needs to have permission to visit it. It is very well maintained and has some stones which appear to be replaced, showing the good care it is receiving.
