History

The Briskey/Brisky family history indicates that this cemetery was the first white cemetery in the upper Wenatchee Valley. It became known as the Briskey-Treadwell Cemetery because it is the final resting place for the Briskey and Treadwell families, along with several friends and neighbors who passed away during the rugged early pioneer days. Initially, its use was restricted to the Treadwell and Briskey families. Over time, the property was dedicated to the city of Cashmere as a cemetery or a park.

The City of Cashmere owns, maintains, and operates the cemetery. Contact City Hall with any questions.
