Evergreen Cemetery is located in Freeman, Washington, on the east side of Highway 27, just south of the Freeman Store.

History

William Jacob Boy sold the original two acres of land for use as a cemetery. While the exact date of the first burial is unclear, the earliest recorded burial on Find A Grave dates back to 1883. The Evergreen Cemetery Association was incorporated in 1908. During a meeting on 2 February 1940, the Association decided to transfer ownership of the cemetery to the Township. At the entrance of the cemetery, there is a kiosk that provides a map and additional information.
