Puyallup Woodbine Cemetery in Pierce County was founded in 1881. In 1920, the cemetery was handed to the City of Puyallup.
The Puyallup Woodbine Cemetery’s management was under the City of Puyallup until 1932 when Puyallup Woodbine Cemetery Association took over after its formation. The association took over the administration until 2007 when the cemetery land was deeded again back to the City of Puyallup.
The Puyallup Woodbine Cemetery has incorporated several graves from the local cemeteries. One of the notable relocations of graves is one done by Puyallup Catholic Cemetery in 1997. After relocation, they erected a memorial with a list of names of the deceased whose graves were moved.
Puyallup Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup ranks number 1st out of the two cemeteries in Puyallup City in terms of popularity. Further, it ranks 7th out of 22 cemeteries in Pierce County, 28th out of the 239 cemeteries in Washington State, and 2566 in the United States.
