From Highway 12 going through Waitsburg turn East onto 8th street going several blocks. The cemetery is easily seen on the corner to the right at the intersection with Cemetery Road and Wilson Hollow Road.

Waitsburg IOOF Cemetery in Walla Walla County County was founded in 1890. In 1916 the cemetery was handed to the City of Waitsburg.
The Waitsburg IOOF Cemetery’s management was under the City of Waitsburg until 1936 when Waitsburg IOOF Cemetery Association took over after its formation. The association took over the administration until 2010 when the cemetery land was deeded again back to the City of Waitsburg.
The Waitsburg IOOF Cemetery has incorporated several graves from the local cemeteries. One of the notable relocations of graves is one done by Waitsburg Catholic Cemetery in 1994. After relocation, they erected a memorial with a list of names of the deceased whose graves were moved.
Waitsburg IOOF Cemetery in Waitsburg ranks number 1st out of the two cemeteries in Waitsburg City in terms of popularity. Further, it ranks 8th out of 18 cemeteries in Walla Walla County County, 42th out of the 212 cemeteries in Washington State, and 2747 in the United States.
