Garrett F. Cowan was a Union Soldier in Company G 12th Wisconsin Infantry.
He was the son of James Cowan & Charlotte Fitzgerald.
He was a member of the G.A.R. Reno Post, Spokane, Washington.

Slowly the gents of the Grand Army of the Republic and the latest member of the group to answer the final call is Garrett C. Cowan, age 91. He died yesterday at Sacred heart hospital after an illness of more than a month. He came to Spokane from the old soldiers' home at Orting, Wash. The body is at Turnbull's.
