Children:
Lester Stanley Ellsworth 1860 – 1906
Ettie Freeman Ellsworth 1862 – 1877
Edith Viola Ellsworth 1867 – (11/16/1867 Bradford Co. PA d. 2/22/1941 Yakima Co. WA)
Chester Henry Ellsworth 1872 – 1884
Edith was born in Bradford County, PA but at some point after her mother's death there in 1876, her father decided that they should head West. She was nine years old. She married widower Charles Johnson on Jan. 27, 1887 in Holdrege, Phelps County, NE. In August of 1888, their first child, son Walter Raleigh was born in the tiny , now-defunct town of Abbott in Washington County, CO where her husband's sister May Glandon was living at the time. By 1891 they were back in Holdrege where their their second son, Fane Ellsworth was born in April. They remained in that area for a number of years.
After Charles' father died in 1901 the family moved to Yakima in Yakima County, WA. Edith's father Freeman moved there also, whether before or after the Johnsons is unclear. Charles died as the result of a car accident in 1917. Edith died 24 years later at the age of 74. She was buried on Feb. 24, 1941.
