Discharged from the Army

9th Iowa Regiment. Enlisted by Lieut. Heff (?). He was 5'9" with light complexion, blue eyes and auburn hair. He was kicked in the side by a mule in December of 1861 and had been incapacitated for 60 days due to a hernia on his left side.

Levi's Home

The Watrous family home (A Private residence) was open for Dayton’s annual Historic Homes Tour in 2012. The newspaper article description of the home: "The Watrous Home is a large bungalow, built in 1910, which still has its original carriage house behind it. The carriage house now contains a quilting workshop and a guest cottage." Levi died in 1910, and I'm not sure which of the children owned this home.
