Memorial ID

Born in Canada. A resident of Monticello, Wright County, Minnesota when he enlisted in the 4th Minnesota Infantry for three years at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Mustered in as a Private in Company C on 7 Oct 1861. Discharged for disability at Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa. He returned home to Monticello, Minnesota, and was a resident there when he enlisted in the 11th Minnesota Infantry for one year at Lillian, Minnesota on 21 Aug 1864. Mustered in as a Private in Company D at Fort Snelling, Minnesota the same day he enlisted. Promoted to Corporal on 6 Sep 1864. Discharged with the Regiment at Fort Snelling, Minnesota on 26 Jun 1865. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Died in Tacoma, Washington.
