Residence was not listed; 20 years old. Enlisted on 8/31/1861 at Hermon, NY as a Private. On 10/30/1861 he mustered into "A" Co. NY 60th Infantry He was discharged for disability on 11/18/1862 He also had service in: "A" Co. NY 14th Light Artillery (Subsequent service.) Born in Champion, Jefferson County, New York. Enlisted in the 60th New York Infantry for three years at Hermon, St. Lawrence County, New York. Mustered in as a Private in Company A on 30 Oct 1861. Discharged for disability. Enlisted in the 14th New York Heavy Artillery for three years at Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York on 21 Jul 1863. Mustered in as a Private in Company A on 29 Aug 1863. Deserted at Rochester, Monroe County, New York on 3 Oct 1863. Both he and his widow Cordelia received a pension based on his service in the 60th New York Infantry. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Died in Tacoma, Washington.
