Aaron H. H. Cowger, one of the oldest engineers in the employ of the Northern Pacific railway, and the man who hauled the rails for the Stampede tunnel, died yesterday at the family residence at Bismarck at the age of 59 years. Mr. Cowger was a native of Indiana and had resided in Pierce county about three years. He was widely known on the road and had many friends. A widow and two daughters survive.
Mr. Cowger, besides being a member of the G.A.R. who served as a private in Company C, 39th Iowa Volunteer Infantry, was a member of Rainier lodge, No. 11, I. O. O. F. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made.

Funeral of Aaron H. Cowger
The funeral of Aaron H. H. Cowger who died Wednesday night at his home in Bismarck, aged 59 years, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., from the chapel on Tacoma avenue.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Tacoma avenue chapel for Aaron H. Cowgar who died Wednesday. The services will be in charge of Rainier lodge, No. 11, I. O. O. F., and of Custer post, G. A. R. Internment will be at Odd Fellows cemetery.

Funeral services for Aaron H. Cowger, who died last Wednesday, were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the chapel on Tacoma avenue. The services were under the auspices of the Tacoma Odd Fellows of which order the deceased was a prominent member. The departed was also a member of the John A. Logan circle of the Grand Army of the Republic, the local members of which also officiated at the funeral. The internment was in the Odd Fellows cemetery, four miles south of South Tacoma.
