Born in Louisiana, Pike County, Missouri. A resident of Louisiana, Missouri when he enlisted in the 3rd Missouri State Militia Cavalry (2nd Organization) for three years at Louisiana, Missouri. Mustered in as a Private in Company C at Louisiana, Missouri on 22 Mar 1862. Promoted to Corporal in Nov or Dec 1863. Mustered out at Macon, Macon County, Missouri. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Served the Poat as Officer of the Guard in 1892. Died in Tacoma, Washington. He is buried in a G.A.R. section of the cemetery.
