This Cemetery is also known by Oakwood Cemetery and Prairie Cemetery. It used to be part of Old Tacoma Cemetery, but when the city went out of the cemetery business two funeral home brothers stepped up and purchased what is now Oakwood Hill Cemetery from the city. Old Tacoma and Oakwood Hill are seperated by a cement wall topped with a wire fence.
