Memorial ID

Born in New York. Enlisted in the 92nd New York Infantry for three years at Potsdam, St. Lawrence County, New York. Mustered in as a Private in Company A on 30 Oct 1861. Discharged for disability at Fort Monroe, Virginia. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Died in Tacoma, Washington. He is buried in a G.A.R. section of the cemetery.

 

CLARK, SIDNEY.—Age, 18 years. Enlisted, October 15, 1861, at Potsdam, New York to serve three years; mustered in as private, Co. A, ninety-second Infantry Regiment, October 30, 1861; discharged for disability, September 26, 1862, at Fort Monroe, Va.

(1884) Sidney Clark, druggist and Postmaster, at Salt River (Shephard, Mich.) Son of Robert and Martha (Clark) Clark, natives of New York State. They came to Isabella County, Michigan in the fall of 1864. Sidney was appointed Postmaster, November 8, 1883 and held the offices of Constable, Deputy Township Clerk and School Director.
He married Miss Ruth Dunn, Feb. 14, 1864, in St. Lawerence County, New York. Three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Clark: Hollis N., now deceased, Iva M. and Eddie.
